The observatory resources are located in three buildings named Phoenix, Vega and Sirius. The first two are observatory buildings and the last a dormitory.

NOVA

  • Phoenix is an observatory building with a rotating dome. The largest telescope is located here.

  • Vega is an observatory building with a roll-off roof. Three of the telescopes are located here.

  • Sirius has a sleeping room and a living room with a kitchen in the corner. Four beds are available.

Electricity is produced by a windmill (12 V DC), stored in a bank of electricity accumulators and distributed to the buildings by an underground cable system. 220 V AC is available temporarily from a petrol-driven generator. Spring water is available in Sirius in the non-freezing season, however, drinking water has to be brought by the visitors themselves. A nearby cottage can be rented if more space than Sirius can give is necessary.
