Members of DSE come together for a meeting with a lecture about every second month.
The lecture is held by a professional in astronomy or astronautics, or an amateur with particular interest for the theme presented. After the talk and a question session, the members usually take time to a cup of coffee and some chatting. The meetings are usually located to Sandefjord Motor Hotel beside the E18 motorway just outside the city of Sandefjord.
Examples of lecture titles:
- Comet Hyakutake - a presentation of the first results
- Star development - from dust to supernova
- On the way to the international space station
