The daily operations are managed and carried out by the observatory staff.
The staff is currently composed of six positions covering the following:
DirectorThe overall decisions for the operations of the observatory is taken by the board of its operator Deep Sky Exploration and its general assembly. The observatory staff reports to the board, and the board reports to the general assembly (see the organizational map).

Optical maintenance
The funding for NOVA comes primarily from two sources, payments for use of the
observatory and funding from DSE. The philosophy is to finance as much as
possible by payments of use, and at least the expenses of the daily
operations. Investments have to some degree to be paid for by DSE.
